Middle School Math (grades 7 and 8)

Middle school math is taught for the preparation for high school math in the next 2-4 years. Middle math includes the topics ranging to algebra up to golden ratios and other related topics depending on the teacher or the school or school district.

In Algebra, you are required to discuss linear algebra and graphing lines. This means you are trained to use algebra in every problem solving task given to you. In addition, factoring is discussed.

During the next year, you advance to intermediate algebra. From lines, you’ll learn higher orders of functions. This year, identification of mathematical series is also introduced - from arithmetic to geometric.

Then, you’re bound for Geometry. Some algebraic problems are also applicable in geometry. In this part of middle school math, the area of a circle is just one of the aspects that is discussed.

In the latter years, you’ll continue with algebra. Advanced algebra includes more functions. Some parts discussed in intermediate algebra are also covered. After this, you’ll continue with probability in statistics. In addition, this segment teaches you combinations, permutations, and standard deviations among other aspects of statistics.

Moving forward, students are taught calculus. With this set of lessons, students have an easier time coping. MathComplete.Com is a site that’s just for you.
